The Town of Byhalia provides gas, water, sewer and garbage services. Please contact the Town of Byhalia to establish your utility service(s). You will see the requirements listed below in order to establish utilities and you have the option to print the appropriate application from this site.

Our office hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. For customer service and utility information call 662-838-2135.

MS One Call: Avoid paying charges for cuts or damage to lines. At least 48 hours before you dig, dial 811 or call 800.227.6477 for line locations. This is a free service.

UTILITY FORMS

Requirements for having services turned on at your location:

Come to Byhalia Town Hall, located at 225 Hwy 309 S.

Complete an application based on the type of location (see below to download, or we will provide one in the office).

For residential or small commercial applications, bring:

  1. A copy of your warranty deed or leasing agreement

  2. Driver’s license or state I.D.

  3. Applicable deposit (see Deposits to the left)

For large commercial or industrial applications, bring:

  1. A copy of your CD, Utility Bond, or Security Bond

  2. Driver’s license or state I.D. for company representative

  3. Applicable deposit (see Deposits to the left)

All service requirements must be received before services are turned on.

BILLING & PAYMENT

Bills will be due on the 27th of every month. On the 28th a 10% late charge will be added. You then have ten (9) days to pay your bill before service will be disconnected. Services will be disconnected and a service fee of $50.00 will be applied to your account on the 10th day after due date.

PLEASE NOTE: Failure to receive your bill does not relinquish responsibility for payment nor waive customer of paying penalties.

Payments can be placed in our payment drop box located at the front of Town Hall. Write your account number on your check and include the payment stub.

You may also pay online with a debit or credit card.

GARBAGE

Garbage Pick Up

Garbage pick up is once a week. We ask you to please bag your household garbage before placing it in your container. We also ask that once the container is emptied to please remove the container from the street. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

If a holiday falls during the week, there will be a one day delay for garbage pickup. WastePro holidays include:

  • New Years Day

  • MLK Day

  • July 4

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Day

Curbside Pick Up

All items to be picked up must be at street or as close as possible.
Leaves and grass clippings must be bagged.
Limbs and brush must be cut up, no larger than 6 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter, a size that is suitable for hand pick up. Only small amount will be picked up, a two truck limit.
Other items for pick up are: appliances and boxes

No stump or tree removal
No household garbage, furniture, or clothing
No paint, flammable, or hazardous chemicals
No tires
No building materials, demolition materials, dirt, or concrete.
